Exactly this. And I think it's mostly people who never played the OG games doing this, because the movie nurses kind of overtook the SH2 nurses as the oft used imagery.

The original never had the ‘sexy’ nurses. Those were only introduced by the first movie, 5 years later in 2006.

And Bloober Team sure as hell did a good job of keeping that nonsense out of this remake.

Factually incorrect. They are purposefully "sexy" in SH2 due to certain plot aspects. Have you ever even played SH2?

I understand that being faceless, dirty and trying to cut you in pieces may be a turn off, but it has always been like this.
