Bad frame rate
Hello everyone,

I just got the game, but getting really bad frame rate. Max of 30FPS. Can't find the setting for DLSS.

Running on a 4070. Any suggestions? BTW graphics are set to mid.

Super sampling i believe is the slider setting for upscalers, either tsr / fsr / dlss / native and interlaced i believe

Thanks I found it. Getting about 45 FPS on max now.

what resolution?

Please dont say 4k cause you wont have a good time if you are.

4070 is a good card for 1440p high settings.

Make sure you didn't accidentally set the game at 150% lol
Also the only settings that seem heavy on performance is Shadows and Shaders it's like 15-20fps then Rt for obvious reasons and I really couldn't see the difference from high to medium but yea the performance is really a hit or miss some places run at like 80-120fps then some places it's like 45-60fps in the game you'l need upscaling for sure.

Also using a 4070 and I set my shadows to low and it fixed most of my FPS problems. Everything else is at high

Tell me could you even tell the difference in Shadow settings?

-dx11 and reduce shadows to low. Works wonders.

I'm running 4k and getting 45FPS on HDR and oled monitor. Graphics are amazing, just wish I was pushing 60FPS plus.

I'm on a 4070 and getting 60FPS with some brief drops at 1440p with Epic Settings, RTX on, and DLSS balanced.

Are you still in the woods at the start? That's the most horribly optimized part of the game and performance improves a lot once you get into town.

Also what I've found to work on a lot of games with shoty performance is lock the game at 60fps then use a frame-gen I'm currently using AMDs driver base AFMF2 not sure if NVIDIA has it's own driver version or you could check out Lossless Scaling that should also help with any stutter as well.
But so far this has helped me play a lot of game's with bad performance.

4070 bro is for 4k .... its for 2k or 1080 for big games.
4k for me, just 4090 can do it, even 80 or 80s it's better in 2k not in 4k in big graphic game

Unless you're targeting higher framerates for competitive multiplayer there's zero reason to go 1080p on a 4070, it's sweet spot is 1440p.

Try using -dx11 in the steam launch options if you don't care about raytracing
