when a dev doesnt care enough about the most basic stuff such as the appearance of characters, ambient, and so on, is obv they would care less in performance.
as long as the game can exist in the bubble players created with dishonest positive reviews, most of the improvements will come from modders, until the game becomes actually abandoned, thanks to getting enough sales. if konami "can run away with the money", they will.
and, if that happens, you can be sure updates and improvements will be a lot slower, if they ever happen. and then, you can be sure they will try the same bs, but worse, later.
And there is nothing "dishonest" about people giving a game they enjoyed a positive review.
I don't write reviews at all but I'd easily give this one a thumbs up as well simply because of how much I enjoyed it.
While the occasional stutter wasn't great to see it wasn't nearly bad enough to kill my fun with this game. And that was the only issue I have with this game. I didn't experience any bugs, crashes or anything like that.
You have a fundamental issue with this game, the company behind it and the developers.....and even the community. Like you seem to hate EVERYTHING about this remake yet you show up here every single day. Let it go. Move on. Focus on things you like and enjoy doing.
This remake has been received very well, the majority of people loved it and there is NOTHING you can do to change that. Making countless negative comments on a random discussion board is not gonna change anything.

Says someone who gave a positive review to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl after just 1 Hour played, saying there's no technical issues and who hasn't played the game since.
A game that's been heavily critiqued by fans and critics for its tech issues and the fact it's an unfinished game with a broken enemy spawn along with A.I & stealth mechanics that need fixing. Hence, the 13,000 negative reviews. To be fair it's an excellent game beyond the bugs & unfinished mechanics as are most S.T.A.L.K.E.R games, but it has serious tech issues and broken game mechanics that will take a few weeks to fix.
Vs
Silent Hill 2 Remake, you leave a negative review after 1 hour, and not played it since saying "It stutters passionately when it doesn't crash excessively. Positive review spam here is demented, but expected from SH fans." A game with just 1k negative reviews.
I don't trust reviews from people who only play 1-hour and call fans of a game "demented" It's extremely hypercritical to leave a negative or positive review for a game when you barely touched it and not touched it since while criticizing other people for their reviews who actually played the game.
What truly is demented is people who cling onto those forums hating on a game when they either don't own it or objectively awful at reviewing games or being unbiased.
Giving S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: a positive review after just 1 hour citing no tech issues when everyone is slamming it for its tech issues is frigging hilarious. They not touched it since too? lmao. They probably can't get it playable on their windows 7 system.
Then proceeds to slam another game with a negative review after barely playing it for a hour and attacking other people for their positive reviews.
The irony lol
A prime example of quality game reviewing by the few haters here.
That engine in re4 had some of the same issues (traversal stutter, though not as rough as here, but it still needed and should have been fixed but never was). Silent Hill 2 does target a notably higher level of fidelity, and its general frame rate isn't really the issue, it is the constant traversal stutter.
Yes I played Stalker for an hour with no issues whatsoever and it does get updated with new patches constantly.
Silent Hill 2 just crashes to desktop on launch unless I mess around with workarounds and it stutters a lot, no effective updates either.
So, your point here?
My reviews will remain the same, SH doesn't deserve my attention at this point.
Stalker 2 will be a great experience when I get the time to explore it.
Go write another essay on my opinion, fanboy. Your game is a broken mess, read the other posts, everyone is struggling to even launch it. It makes me laugh seeing people like you defending their trash so much.
The fact that you gave stalker 2 a positive review after just one hour while even the devs said it has a lot of issues is wild.
Unrelated to the quote, kinda odd to mention stalker 2 me or others who’ve played or followed the game history it was obvious it would have tech issues. First game did and the community salvaged the game/ip no one plays the original vanilla anymore. But I agree with others even with the 1 hour time saying it doesn’t have tech issues is laughable.
