in the best case it will be as mediocre as this one, but more likely it will be worse.
Within the first week they sold more then 1 million copies of the game. That's $70 Million+ in sales within a week. Which by now is probably at a minimum 50% higher. Even if you calculate expenses and Steam cut, They still made ♥♥♥♥ loads of money.
No producer alive would be dumb enough to not continue the series when that kind of money is on the line. It is not a matter of If, it's a matter of when, and which one.
Silent Hill 1 of course, as Silent Hill 3 is its sequel. The other way around would not have sense.
