Report a translation problem
if devs changed how the characters look, and even didnt fixed their appearance when they claimed to backtracked a bit the bs (they did changed a bit the models, but their general appearance and strange body proportions persists), is because they never wanted to make a faithful adaptation or translation.
they wanted to make their own thing, and unfortunately, thanks to many fake positive reviews and people that never cared or played the original, they appear to be getting away with it. probably also thanks that maybe someone asked nexusmods to tolerate the models that fix or improve the characters, among other poor art direction choices made by konami and or devs.
so, short answer:
no, but as long as the mods are not removed or censored for ideological reasons, the game may end more or less ok in 6 months or a year from now.
if devs add a dlc, it will be also overpriced, and will likely keep pushing in the same direction that it has now (away from what the original audience of the franchise expected, and away from anyone that respected it)
I think you misunderstand what he's asking, back on the OG silent hill 2 there was a DLC Story where you play as Maria and that had its own story from Maria's perspective.
There's absolutely no reason why they wouldn't make a DLC for this game given that they've only delivered around 75% of what the OG offered with the remainder being the Maria DLC.
They could even add a second DLC that follows Angela's back story and it would still fit in with the lore and the town itself and her manifestations of her trauma.
Seeing as the HD Collection includes that DLC, just play it on the Xbox (the original SH2) and I bet BT ignored Maria's DLC and just added some extra stuff/different scenes to make up for it.
This isn't Team Silent so, why would you want them to make a second DLC to follow Angela? people have to stop suggesting DLCS when they can easily just update the game with whatever for free, especially when the main game already costs a lot.
The game is overpriced, it doesn't need DLC (already has a deluxe edition $80+tax) to make it cost even more if you want the whole experience. Goes from $70+tax to $90+tax
Plenty of reasons to not have them do the Maria DLC. Who knows what they'll end up editing, censoring, changing in that.
My guy, OP is asking for Bloober to remake Born From a Wish, the Maria scenario that was added in later additions of the original SH2.
You really need to stop seeing culture wars in everything
Which you can still play if you buy it on Xbox (I have)

Don't need an overpriced DLC to go along with the overpriced game. If they really cared about the OG and wanted to faithfully adapt it, they would have done the Maria scenario as well.
Now, they say "we'll stick with making horror games" because their Silent Hill 2 Remake sold a lot (not a bunch but a lot) yeah, chase that money, which is the only thing they care about.
Don't care about the fans or people but their money.
You wanna tell me that these companies create products to make money?
And you expect me to believe that?
Good one, nah I ain't falling for that.
It doesn't matter that the HD collections has that dlc, if op wanted to play the graphically inferior version of the game he would be already.
What he wants is the dlc built for THIS NEW iteration of the game, not some abandonware that is stale asf and over a decade old.
imagine being so blinded by the alt right conspiracies, that you can't even read a simple question.
it truly is sad, sad indeed
edit: @ OP we truly don't know
it's up to bloober and konami
imho seeing the success of SH2R i wouldn't discard it
This is just an absolute farce for so many reasons.
The story of the game is rendered intact in this remake. You're just here to whine about character models, and in doing so think you can make assumptions about the developers' intentions and the validity of reviews from people who actually enjoyed the game.
I've been a Silent Hill fan since back in the day, literally 20 years ago. I've played every single one of the original Japanese games to completion, many times. And I've dabbled in the newer ones. And I enjoyed Silent Hill 2 Remake. So, already, your assumptions, the things you think you know, are inaccurate.
And yet you persist, hanging around here, trying to tear down a game that isn't even in your Steam library, because you've got no better, more constructive input than to be a detractor.
But at least you've given your rationale: "I don't like how the lady characters look." Absolutely tiresome take.
