Why did they use a 60 year old woman's face for Maria?

The game looks great but I'm completely at loss here about the character design choice. She looks like... Twice James's age. He looks like a confused little boy next to her. Some developer wanted to use his mom as a character in Silent Hill 2?

Wasn't she supposed to look young and pretty? She really was on OG Silent Hill 2. Why did they make her look like an old bag? Otherwise the game is fantastic, but I just don't get it why they had to change the look of a very important female character in this game.

Lately in remakes there is some rule to make the wives or other support characters old? Dead Space Remake had an old bag for the wife also. It's so weird lol

They believe that? Grandmas have a generally larger aesthetic appeal in front of an audience than young and pretty girls have??? They must be crazy!

Well poor modders do what they can. I saw the mods. But they have a quite hard time to completely fix her as I see. Besides. I made the mistake of buying this for PS5. Because of a stupid voucher. So the best I can hope for is for the devs to fix this ugly woman. It's hard to look at her and not feeling chills down my spine when she tries to be attractive, sexy, giving James some tongue in cheek insinuations.

If even better mods come out later, I might replay it on PC, not gonna buy this again!

Too much nude main character mods everywhre on each modding sites pages lead to that, it's their fault ,and making nonsense mods of the such is just rubbish no matter what.

No, she doesn't. But the ingame character does look like a 60 years old woman with a larger head than James has. And she's uglier than the monsters that are supposed to scare us :))

Well probably they should have chosen a young and pretty model for animations instead of chosing the face of a mid age woman who already hit the wall and looks even older in the game. Look at James. He looks half her age lol

Have you seen how ugly most voice actors are in japanese games for male characters and females too? Yet in the game the characters themselves look very attractive and sexy. This is what you get when you source the game out to a POLISH company where the devs might have some sort of grandma fetish.
