If Bloober has anything to do with it, better not ever happen. They will ruin it.
I prefer the original, Shattered memories was more like the friendly Silent Hill, good but just not really a horror game to me, was more of a psychological mindfu.. a good one, but not really anywhere near as scary as I felt the first time in the original.
only ones i didn't like was homecoming and downpour.
god what a mess those were.
but i did complete homecoming so it must have had something to keep me engaged. i just blocked it out LOL.
Hot take: Homecoming and Downpour had interesting concepts but were poorly executed. Homecoming felt like it tried a little bit too hard in trying to be a Silent Hill game and Downpour felt like Silent Hill was simply tacked on.
Until then, I hope for a modern Silent Hill Collection 1-4 with full controller support, modern QoL improvements, not broken on release and priced correctly. And also handled by a competent developer. :)
It was depressing, and good with psychological curiosity, but not scary. I just wanted the original game and went and played it again later..
The game required more thinking than the other Silent Hill games, maybe that's why, go back to fortnite, imo Shattered Memories (Wii) and Silent Hill 4 The Room are the best SH games but to each their own.
