You clearly don't remember PS2 graphics... as much as i don't like what they are doing to the IP (aka destroying it like Capcom is doing lately with theirs) what you said is completely false... plus... graphics is the last of this game's problems...

Don't be mean.

......the original PS2 game has a more consistent art direction that makes up for it being a 2001 game.

This Remake looks like its both trying to copy the original areas, but through a Downpour/Homecoming filter. Especially the new rooms look very Homecoming.

I have a ps2 next to me, with the Silent Hill 2 ps2 disc. It looks like upscaled ps2 graphics. The hit detection, the animation, everything looks dated as hell. There's no crunch to the impact, nothing. And actually, the original had better feeling impacts, sadly enough. Truly absurd and utterly disappointing. 2024 and we've still got games that feel like ps2 era. I wish devs would learn how to program an actual physics engine or something to make things feel even somewhat impactful and real.

To be clear, when I say graphics, I don't just mean resolution, number of polygons, and lighting/shader effects. I want to feel that board hit that mannequin leg, man. I want things to have crunch, impact, I want the characters and enemies to feel like they're in a real world with real physics and not some weightless dolls sliding around on top of a pretty model town. Like, what are they spending all this processing power on? To make sure every subpixel of the fog has perfect volumetric lighting? This is the perfect game to have enemies break apart under the weight of your swings, feel that visceral weight with every whack. Instead it just..... looks like a very polished ps2 game.

Maybe, when it comes out it'll actually look and feel amazing.... but this trailer sure as hell ain't that
