most of games nowadays suffer with one or more of the following (yes including indy games):

• dumb gameplay that disrespects the intelligence of the player with highlights and hints that can't be disabled.
  
• shoehorned politics that add no value to the narrative or story of the game
  
• microtransactions/timesavers/preorder bonuses etc
  
• open world JIRA ticket simulator that takes hundreds of hours to finish with its horrible pacing
  
• if safe from all the above and turns out to be a fun and engaging game, then it will most likely be unoptimized trash that will fry your RTX 4090 at minimum settings

exceptions exist, but that doesn't negate the rule.

What I don't understand is why game developers don't see through this scam. There is no customer base requesting sensitivity consultation, on the contrary identity politics hurt sales very markedly.

They get funding from Blackrock/WEF backed donors for using DEI pushing consultants like this, so I guess to some extent it negates the big risks associated with the cost of developing games.

But at this point these games seem to be financial failures over and over and even Konami cannot sustain this, since they aren't even breaking even a lot of the time. Honestly though, if Sweet Baby Inc are involved I am actually surprised James hasn't turned into a strong empowered black woman who don't need no man.

It is all so tiresome.
