Explore locations and buildings that were once inaccessible, or are newly added in the remake.
Enjoy the same acclaimed story, even while you experience the town of Silent Hill with fresh eyes across an expanded map."
- From the store page description
Are they for real selling a game which you can beat in like two days (if you really want to) for 70€ ?
There are literally games like BG3 (60€ = 100+ hours) or Elden Ring (60€ = 100+ hours), but these guys are trying to sell you a game which you can beat sooner than you can even realize.
What is going on with this world...
a remake means they remade the whole game from scratch.. It'll be impossible to know if they added or removed anything until the game launches or people get their hands on early copies..
Either way this will be exceptional.. hopefully it sells really well to entice Konami to release the other games on steam..
trying to compare a multiplier game which lets you play hundreds of hours in multiplayer to a story driven atmospheric game just isn't fair.. in all honesty most story driven games aren't going to have a ton of gameplay and you'll be able to finish in around 10ish hours.. Also if they stay somewhat faithful to the original you'll have three or four different endings..which could really extend playtime..
Also, if you really want to avoid these "optional multiplayer" games, there are games like Yakuza games or even Ghost of Tsushima which got released few days back (I am at 42 hours and I just started the DLC), RDR2 (first playthrough took me 74 hours), Cyberpunk 2077 (I didn't really like the game so I pretty much speedran it and it took me 25 hours I believe, if I liked the game I am sure I will be in 40s), Witcher 3 (you can also achieve 100+ hours and there is no multiplayer).
You can't really argue against this because there are A LOT of great games which are super long, have huge amount of content and they might even be cheaper and look better, this remake to be honest doesn't even look that great.
EDIT: Also, having such short games should also mean that their budget was also much smaller, BG3, RDR2, ER, Witcher 3, etc., I didn't google it, but I am sure these games had much more money invested in them and they are selling for less or equal price tags.
