But that is believable in terms of Konami wanting even more changes. Especially since it’s them who forced third-person Resident Evil shooting and sacrificing fixed-camera atmosphere.
So all this really says to me is that the final result will be a mess of trying to both be the original (and missing the point along the way), and an RE clone
Replaying Enhanced Edition instead is the better move
All because, what, a bunch of weirdos on twitter think there's such a thing as "the patriarchy" and other weirdos think it's a good idea to pander to these insufferable malcontents?
So when this game crashes and burns they can blame Konami for its failures, which shouldn’t be hard because everyone hates Konami
So this is yet another massive red flag. 4 months before release and a not very subtle blame game is already under way
If anything, the problem IS that they’re turning the combat into too much of a focus. It’s just Homecoming combos but even worse since now there’s animation stuttering like it’s Callisto Protocol
Original SH2 knows to keep the combat basic but effective. It’s a choice, not something you do because it’s fun, or because you want to test out combo strings
It’s a mix of Konami going “make it like Resident Evil”
And a Bloober going “We understand Silent Hill………” while also unironically putting “Reap what you sow” and spelling out every single thing to the point of being way too much
And despite not buying the game or even wanting it, you'll continue to lurk and complain for the next four months. You're new hobby.
You're right, I'm stalking you. It's not like you came into my topic to complain even more about the game, setting off my alerts.
Find even more reasons to complain. This is your hobby lmao
