“Highly faithful” lol we’ll be the judge of that.

But that is believable in terms of Konami wanting even more changes. Especially since it’s them who forced third-person Resident Evil shooting and sacrificing fixed-camera atmosphere.

So all this really says to me is that the final result will be a mess of trying to both be the original (and missing the point along the way), and an RE clone

Replaying Enhanced Edition instead is the better move

I'm not sure what is more hilarious part here - Konami taking orders from Bloober Team, or Bloober team knowing better what was SH2 about?

Why should anyone care? People are being asked to pay for a remake of a classic game, not the developers feelings. The source of the changes is irrelevant. The fact remains that someone apparently forgot why the original was so loved to begin with and they're going to bomb their own product based on faulty assumptions about the fragility of their own customers.

All because, what, a bunch of weirdos on twitter think there's such a thing as "the patriarchy" and other weirdos think it's a good idea to pander to these insufferable malcontents?
This is called passing the buck

So when this game crashes and burns they can blame Konami for its failures, which shouldn’t be hard because everyone hates Konami

So this is yet another massive red flag. 4 months before release and a not very subtle blame game is already under way

And missing the ability to develop caliber action gameplay like Capcom. Oof, what a mess.

Why the hell would anyone want “caliber action gameplay like Capcom” for SH xD?

If anything, the problem IS that they’re turning the combat into too much of a focus. It’s just Homecoming combos but even worse since now there’s animation stuttering like it’s Callisto Protocol

Original SH2 knows to keep the combat basic but effective. It’s a choice, not something you do because it’s fun, or because you want to test out combo strings

I know this, you know I know this mannnn. I'm just saying they can't even get that part right. They can't even get wrong choices right, that's how messed this entire thing is.

Oh ok. Yeah.

It’s a mix of Konami going “make it like Resident Evil”

And a Bloober going “We understand Silent Hill………” while also unironically putting “Reap what you sow” and spelling out every single thing to the point of being way too much

Yep, complete clashing of incompatible concepts and ideas that undermine the integrity of the game lol, couldn't turn out much worse so far tbh. Fears realized though, true horror has arrived.

And despite not buying the game or even wanting it, you'll continue to lurk and complain for the next four months. You're new hobby.

You're right, I'm stalking you. It's not like you came into my topic to complain even more about the game, setting off my alerts.
Pugs Jun 6, 2024 @ 7:03am
You complain about Blooper ruining the integrity if the game, twisting the original vision, meanwhile, the oriignal Konami devs wanted more changes...and what do you do?

Find even more reasons to complain. This is your hobby lmao
Pugs Jun 6, 2024 @ 7:04am
Third world country, complaining about American media, gets contradictory evidence on his views, still complains lmao
Pugs Jun 6, 2024 @ 7:05am
You'll be here today, tomorrow, next week, complaining all the way through launch.
