You were so, so very close with this one, but sorry, you were wrong. The answer you were looking for was not Maria, it was actually "Angela". Yes, Angela is the obligatory trans character in this remake of Silent Hill 2.
Thanks for playing and we'll see you next time!
I don't care what the character's backgrounds are. If it's a fun game, awesome. Intriguing story, even better! .. If this is *yet another* thing that gets under the skin of a few uptight, perpetually mad conservatives, I'm sure their meltdowns will be good for a few chuckles. Bonus content!
Not that it really matters if they were. Part of what makes all types of art interesting to me is that it can reflect the entire menagerie of experiences and backgrounds that are different from my own.
There are a millions of different types of people and walks of life on this planet, most of whom we'll rarely, if ever, come in contact with in our own little bubbles. I've always loved people watching, and find it even more intriguing to learn what makes different people tick.
I'm even fascinated by the type of people who're truly ticked off that people unlike them exist. I'd love to play a (good) video game that explores the backstory of someone like this, so I can better understand how they came to have such a huge chip on their shoulder.
It is amusing to me to see people so obsessed and hyper focused on this one little cross section of the human condition, that they'll never miss an opportunity to lay it on thick with the overreactions and hyperbole. It'd be intriguing to learn what happened in their personal lives or childhood to make people like this!
