Option for original voice actors?
The HD collection included this option so I hope they do the same here.

I hope so, I know the original is pretty corny at times but i still love it even now

It's a full on remake so probably not.
That would literally make no sense, it would be worse than an English Dub Bruce Lee movie.

How? They said they wanna be faithful to the original. I just prefer the original voices. Plus that comparison doesn't make sense.

That wouldn't make any sense. This is not a remaster of the old game, it's completely remade from the ground up, as you can obviously tell by the trailer. It's a different game in a new engine with new animations and scenes with lengths that differ from the original. You can't just insert the old voice tracks without it being completely misaligned.

Well, you can. Just make sure the lips sync.
Though if they were to use the original voice actors, they'd just hire the original voice actors

Because its not a remaster. Its a remake. The cutscenes and dialogues are going to be re-acted and remade from scratch. You can't sync the old dialogues with the remake's cutscenes unless a very passionate modder with a lot of editing skills and time on his hands comes up with something.

Bruh you don't make sense, you can't just put Original Voicelines on a remake and expect everything to be in perfect sync.

Sadly, I think it will be a completely new cast because there was a falling out with the voice actor for James, kinda the same deal with what happened between Ray Liotta and Rockstar.

that wasn't the reason though. They simply recast because its a remake. Not because Guy Cihi went nuts.

The lips aren't going to sync because it's a remake. The shots are going to be different, the lines are going to have a different delivery. There may be changes to the wording and some lines may be new or removed. There's too many factors to "Just make sure the lips sync".

No, not to say that's why specifically, but at the very least that definitely would be one reason. I think if not for that there would have been the possibility of bringing back the OG crew. But what I'm more concerned about is how the dialogue will be in general. The old Silent Hill games had a very David Lynch kind of awkwardness to them. There would be long pauses, and characters didn't question bizarre statements. There was a charming kind of acceptance to the surrealism they were wrapped up in.
