I'm sure they can figure something out, I doubt it's that hard, just throw some money at him.
I do agree that hearing Troy Baker in so many games some times it feels like the vanilla characters when you create a character in any rpg. But he is a good voice actor, and he has some games where he did a memorable job. So you are going to have a solid job.
edit:
It sounded like Troy Baker.
edit2: not confirmed, just my feeling.
Then just hire somebody to do a similar approach to the character
Like I've said before, look up "SH PC Guide + DL links" on the interwebs, download and play the OG games. They will run on literal WinXP era wormboxes, and they still hold up damn well.
He sounds generic 'troubled guy but can still use a glock", there was a charm about original VA cuz he had no self-awareness, no Ego, no ID inhibitions
I mean I hope the voice clips get added into the game via patching at the very least, but didnt konami bring back like Masahiro Ito and the Yamaoka guy? I feel like they dont hate em to the comedic angle some ppl think.
Ito is the guy that designed all the monsters, he was one of the key members of team silent
it's not on steam, plus nope, don't care, want things perfect.
We want silent hill 2 just not this one.
