Bring back ORIGINAL voice actor for James Sunderland - Guy Cihi !

Did you guys learn NOTHING from the terrible Silent Hill HD Collection? No offence to the new guy, but Guy Cihi's delivery was so unique, and otherworldly, facilitated by him not being a voice actor, so his dialogue came off as having dream-like qualities: awkward, genuine and most importantly lacking self-awareness, which added vulnerability to the character but this new Troy Baker-lite sounds like he's a generic 'tough guy protagonist'.

Bloober Team claims they're huge fans of the original experience and wanted to recreate it. somehow this terrible creative decision makes me doubtful of their qualification (as does most of their gaming produce).

If you can't get the guy, at least have someone do a similar approach to the role, I know I'm not the only one that feels this way!

Who cares, new guy sounds way better and clearly more professional. likely to understanding how important the roll is. Not knocking the original James (was great when it came out) but this new direction sounds perfect to me and up to standards people expect in 2022, not 2001 (VA in games was still young)

I feel you,I got some feelings of the HD Collection with Troy Baker and I am not a fan at all of James new voice.
I knew that it was impossible that they were going with a more natural and generic person-like acting as it was in the original game but the new VA seems fitting with the new design of James Sunderland.Strange that people meme SH2 (2001) voice acting and call it bad,I always found it fascinating,really fitting with the tone and characters and also there were some lines delivered so damn well in an impactful way that not even an expert VA can sometimes.
Will be really hard to have that kind of acting back in today's gaming so we gotta accept it.

The whole point of a remake is to be a new version. Want to hear Guy Cihi complain about pizza? Play the original. It doesn't get wiped from the universe. (Actually with how poorly Konami handles its portfolio ... might as well.)
