Stats and Oils
Anyone know if the oils/scrolls added affect a base stat or compound on each other?

For example, let's say that you add (30%) damage buff to a (60) damage pistol with one oil, but then a (-30%) debuff with a different oil. Would the damage stay at (60) (0% from base stat), or would that be around (55) damage (78 - 23.4)?

On a side note, I also wish there was a better description of bullet drop, since some oils/scrolls affect this more than others. I thought that increasing bullet speed would help mitigate this, but apparently this just helps dropping bullets face-plant quicker to the ground.

Hey there! Calculations from oils take effect immediately upon using the oil - so from your example, your pistol at the end of using the two oils would be 54.6 (60 -> 78 -> 54.6).

And yes, on your side note, I would avoid using any oils that have "more bullet drop" on them, because it might as well say "your weapon will become completely useless except for CQB situations" :steammocking:

There are some builds that this is useful, but in the vast majority of scenarios, the "bullet drop" stat will kill your build, especially if it's a sniper rifle.
Neat, thanks for the info

Also, oils with bullet drops are good on Rocket Launcher scroll weapons as the rocket launcher effect guarantees that the projectile goes flat... it is slow though
oils with bullet speed is best with light and holy fire scrolls, cuz railgun has only two options - it works and it doesn't work
Yeah I don't really see adding more bullet speed useful at the moment. Maybe with the Rocker Launcher scroll?

add bullet speed is main aim in modding rocket scroll.

reducing bullet speed can be compensated with railgun, cuz if bullet speed >0% railgun work and bullets fly on their maximum

adding recoil is perfect for all energy weapons, but +30% damage with +150% recoil is efficient only on d4rt, cuz this is the only energy weapon with single damage >100
