Thanks for the clarification! I thought that might be the case and figured if it was it would be confirmed whenever the next story element came up if, if it's in the game at this point. At the same time it's good to know as without that clarification it was a bit frustrating thinking that I might have been missing out on a NPC/shop.
So, in the demo, you could recruit the Haukland merchant by giving him 2 dog eyes. You can still get the membership card from him, but he is not currently active at the church anymore. Disabled while the devs rework things like Charisma and the overworld.
If the devs come across this post and are looking for any ideas on how to track memories they could do something like a corkboard in the church that gets populated with simple notes/photos that track each scene, possibly with some sort of replay option upon examination that takes you back to the flashback.
I think the reasoning behind including that is pretty good as your character would be trying piece together their memories and it's a good physical representation of that - or they could make it more abstract and fill the walls of the church with iconography that represents those memories (might not fit with the direction of the game).
You can already replay the cutscenes by revisiting each shrine.
Not really a great implementation though ngl.
