Storm Surge adds massive shotgun spread?
Nothing in the description of Storm Surge suggests it should be adding spread, and the Mossman I slotted it into still only claims to have a spread of 4 (I put a 6" barrel extension on it to reduce it).

I tested it with Bombard + Boulder oil and it maintained a reasonably tight spread, but then I added the Storm Surge enchantment thinking I was making a sort of psuedo electric grenade launcher salvo weapon... But after adding Storm Surge, it now fires in an extremely wide duckbill pattern. Given that it takes on such a specific spread pattern I'm assuming this is intended, but if so, it should indicate that the weapon spread has gone up somewhere.

Umm, it's probably a bug. Happens a lot with Rocket launcher Scroll. People saying that it resets to normal after going via portal. Scrolls should not do anything to Spread, only Bullet Drop

Very unfortunate if it's a bug. I sold the shotgun because it was too dangerous to use in hallways or small rooms, which is a significant portion of the game. It would just hit walls to the sides of me while trying to shoot down hallways and the explosions almost killed me.

I only really tested it in the "safe" zone though, I didn't try transitioning into an actual level after seeing how dangerous it was to use.

in my experience it's the bombard oil that gives you a wide but not tall spread, but only sometimes.

It seems to be a glitch associated with the bullet drop stat, depending on which direction you're facing in the map it goes from normal spread to massive horizontal spread.

I don't know what kind of black magic calculations are happening but i'm avoiding bullet drop until it seems patched.

Hell, i made a shotgun with bullet drop and 0.1 spread, then made it -1.4 spread, and it still had that horrendous horizontal spread without any change from 4 Spread.
