Oh I ran, and moved around as much as possible, but the ghost was always on my tail freezing me. It isn't my first rodeo dealing with ghosts, but no matter what I did it was always on me.
Ghosts can be spawned through this feature and when they do they are invisible, probably something about how the ghost spawns abruptly in proximity to the player not triggering the 'become visible on approach' code or something like that.
If you start getting chilled and you hear a ghost, it's just good practice to shoot in the direction the sound is coming from.
I imagine this will be fixed in a upcoming patch but for now it's just a random bug with a very specific trigger.
Yes, it is only way to get sneaky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in hiding in the ground. Or noclipping hackers in caves, city, dungeon, sewers or library
