Wow plays way better on an old 2010 pc

Gave up trying this on my i9 13th gen 24 core cpu with an RTX 4090 as it just wont work even after trying countless fixes in the discussions. So I broke out my old gaming pc from 2010 with a Intel Core i7-920 4-core processor. GTX 680 playing on 2560 x 1440 and it plays just great and the UI isn't misaligned at that resolution so I can actually play this. Was getting 80-90fps. Going to upgrade this old pc and put a gtx 1080 in it to see if it runs better.
This old game plays great with EAX 7.1 surround sounds too.

gtx 1080 owner here, never played on gtx 1080 tho as in time of playing it through I owed gtx 570 on 6 core 3.3ghz i7-980x intel machine in 1440p and it worked like a charm. not exactly sure if it maxed out 60 fps on that card, it was too much time ago, but I rememaber general impression that it was very comfortable. on gtx 1080 on the other hand theres no way it wouldnt max out 60 fos at all times, thats for sure.
