Exceptional Error
I got to the patch screen and tried to log in, and upon hitting login, the client says "Exceptional Error occured" and exits. I've read online that there's a fix to redownload it from the Webzen site, but my download speed is terrible and it'd take another day or two, to play a game I just want to try and don't even know if it'll run on my computer. Anyone know any other fixes?

Right click it on steam, properties, should be the third tab, then verify game cache.

I personally took a deeper look into the game and upon seeing the class advancements, decided it wasn't worth the time I was investing in it, so I never figured out a solution.

i found some another soluion, i just replace folder with C9 from steam(C:\games\Steam\steamapps\common) in C/games/ (may be another name...it doesn't matter).
Then start Launcher...and it logged without problem!! but through browther on official site, it still don't logging...webzen can't find the game on my computer))

Got the error again and had to completely reinstall as it said 408 files were missing again. Even though I had only stopped playing the game 1 hour before that.

I'm begining to think all these errors are to do with Steam and not the game itself.

The lag may be your connection to the servers and they do repair the servers, contrary to popular belief.

As for the "Exceptional Error" messages, Webzen posted on their official C9 site that it was the cause of DDOS attacks o their servers, more specifically the login section of it.
every path they do cause exception. and everytime you need to verify files to get game fixed.
for some reason steam does not do backend updates. and the game itself looses launcher config when server does updates. so in short lazy product YOU need to do the work to fixgame everytime. the dds attacks is a half truth. the other is a s described launcher does update before you manually validate.
