(I'm assuming you played Classified France: CF44)
The missions so far are very similar ((as your a multinational resistance)
The biggest differences is the "strategic" layer.
This you are tasked with building a camp and surviving. You have to send people out to hunt and chop wood. Build heaters in your tents, call arms dealers to trade and sell weapons. Staff a medic to heal wounds, radio operator, gunsmith to repair weapons etc.
I find this much more fun than CF44 strategic layer.
Combat-wise its pretty different. Personally it feels a little early-access in levels of polish and general play. The animations are a bit janky, the troops take 3-5 shots to kill which I don't love. The graphics are worse and look a bit retro.
That being said I do like this game better. The combat just feels better. It's simpler.
I do think it needs 3-6 mos of Dev work to really get the most out of it. The strategic layer has no "help" on what you need/should/can do. you have to just fumble through it. Also (currently) I have no med supplies so my whole squad is at 50% HP for months and I don't know if the game will "fix" this or i'm bad or its a bug.
My honest suggestion is pick it up in 3mos after some bigger updates have happened.
Also both games let you get in position before starting to fight as well as stealth kills. You can assess you approach on the map and flank the enemy. I would like to see a similar combat mechanic to Jagged Alliance 3 - aiming at body parts, different levels of zooming, difference munitions, and modding weapons.
Some people might prefer no difficulty levels like a brave soldier who has no choice and must accept what happens stoically ;-). But I prefer to play to relax rather than stress out!
The supplies I get only last a week or two. Ive suceeded everymission but my guys do get hit.
This next mission I think im screwed because only 2 people are above 50%
My honest suggestion is pick it up in 3mos after some bigger updates have happened.
Hello and thanks for your thoughts. Just a quick question regarding the medicine. Did you ask your allies for supplies? They will send you some food and medicine. But depends if you have proper radioman operating radio and what his level is. And what relations you have with the world powers.
