Looks like every WW2 Game
What makes this one stand out? I can name like 3-4 other turn based ww2 games.. im not hating necessarily, i just dont see anything at all different about this. Or unique mechanic that sets it apart from other ones like it.

Hello and welcome. There are some common features for this type of the game genre and there are some unique features in this genre. And there are probably two ways how to find out: either watch a stream on YT or Twitch or try it out yourself and see. If you like turn based strategies, you gonna like this one.

Oh well cant play as the good guys.
This is so sad to read. My grandfather joined the resistance after the Nazis massacred and burned down an entire village in the neighboring area. They killed even women and children there. And now someone comes along and tries to claim that they were the good guys? WTF???

Sure they did. You have a pic of a communist terrorist as your avatar.

It does look painfully generic, like a poor man's Classified: France '44 (which itself was just a mediocre XCOM-like with a WW2 skin).
I actually enjoyed Classiefied France 44, i know X -COM is the god of tactics, but is good if we got more tactics games whatever they are sci fi, ww2, fantastic, role, etc. We will see how it is when the game is released. Wait and then get a real opinion. Give devs a chance. Just my opinion.

44’ was the most recent thing I played similar to this. But that had sector control and semi-randomly generated levels with influence meters per various factions. I don’t see anything like that in this game, and hope they add some level of complexity to this product. Even if they just added more violence to this game as is, it would stand out. Or just make the tone overall more Grimm.. it’s surprising how many turn based squad games have such a “hopeful” and optimistic take. I hated that about 44’ because it felt like everyone was to “happy” for being in a war all the time. Like, give me no name soldiers with slim hopes of making it back home. Or entire divisions aesthetically fighting one another like “fire emblem” or “advance wars” with unit attachments. So the battles feel more real when an MG gun fires on people.

Maybe you overlooked the influence with your allies (east and west). The better relations you get, the more support they offer you.

Oh really? Not everyone is like you.

If this works as close to xcom as any ww2 strategy game ever has then it should be good.

So many potentially great games have been ruined by "real time with pause" or terrible action mechanics.

You are the judge here! All of you. The community. We are bringing some old school feeling mechanics with additional unique features. And the best way how to judge it is to try it by yourself. If you like it, we will be more than happy. If you dont, you can get a refund.
