Mabinogi

Mabinogi

For christ's sake.
If you are used to the generic MMO where you click and wait, or any others that I'm not aware of, prepare to be at square one once again. Mabinogi is extremely unique, and it has a little bit of a steeper learning curve than average. It's not going to hold your hand, save for the tutorials that you should be doing when you first enter the game. I've been playing this game for about six, maybe seven years. Admittedly, the gameplay's a bit rough, and for a lot of you there's plenty of lag to go around. These, and a few other reasons that are blatantly obvious, do not make this game unplayable. You just need to have common sense to play. However, it seems that what with most of the discussions that I have read, the majority of the steam community looks like babbling old men who can't even work google chrome. If you aren't willing to do a bit of cause and effect experimentation, stay away. Mabinogi gives you leeway to find out what you like best, perhaps several things that you like, and excel in those variety of combinations. Not only does this apply to combat situations, but also cosmetics.

tl;dr? Too bad. Mabinogi requires you to actually read. Time to saddle yourself to one hell of a joyride, because it'll surely knock you off if you can't handle it.

Really? no click and wait? Cause I made an archer, and the standard attacks are click the enemy, and wait, then click again. Occasionally you use a skill.
Seems like nearly every other cookie cutter MMO.

Huh? You play with auto attack on?

Well whatever floats your boat.
SinisterSlay Dec 19, 2012 @ 10:20am
You can turn auto attack off???
I don't even find a way to make that aim mode option do anything.
You should try to explore the options more before you try and talk about what you don't know.

I have, which option do I need to change to make the game actually interactive?
adobo Dec 19, 2012 @ 11:59am
In the options, I think under gameplay.
SinisterSlay Dec 19, 2012 @ 12:36pm
Whats the option name?
Seiryu Dec 19, 2012 @ 12:41pm
it is under game, it will be under "reserve attack" Turn it off.
SinisterSlay Dec 19, 2012 @ 2:14pm
thanks, ill turn off the reserve battle.
SinisterSlay Dec 19, 2012 @ 9:30pm
Ok, it was already turned off. What else do I do?

I reiterate, so far the combat is, click enemy, wait for percentage to go up, then click again, occasionally holding control key if I can't find the enemy after my first click.
What am I doing wrong?
Seiryu Dec 19, 2012 @ 9:34pm
think that sums it up, gets only more interesting when you are faced with multi aggro, room full of enemies. Of course after you are strong enough to handle that and get bored of that, theres the non combat stuff you can do. Just chill and have fun. Ai.. can't define fun for everyone, just try to do whatever game has to offer, stop when you can't find entertainment any more.
