Noobs seems to go 'OH IMA BE ELF RIGHT OFF THE BAT AND PWN THINGS!"...
Or that they get 'excited' by pale skinned elves with pointy ears.
But it's beacause I use this characters to experiment with skill combinations. I don't want to waste Ap on my main char so I test some skills on other characters and look how they work.
It's not a waste to buy character cards but since you can get 2 free cards you don't need to.
Another good thing is that I use other characters to develop Life skills to produce products I use on my main char, again because I don't want to waste AP for him.
And this works fine for me but I can understand if someone says he wants to test every talent on one character but it's hard to gather all the AP for this.
What me annoys is that some prices on the market are ridicoulous. Personal shops with the names "cheap" and "Saleout" are often expensive as hell. I can understand that some people want to sell a unique game item from events or a hard field boss for a lot of gold beacause it's so hard to get these items.
But seriously, some prices are just stupid. Some people sell basic alchemy crystals for way more gold than in the original shop.
The same goes for Holy Water. 20k Gold for a stack is a little much if you think about it. You don't have to do much to get it, I can actually do two part time shops with a life skill talent and I have a stack. So in my opinion holy water is overpriced but people still buy it.
This goes for the most common items in Mabinogi and it ruins the game for players who cannot achieve that much money.
Be glad you weren't here during the Duping Crisis. 75,000 Gold per stack for Holy Water. And people buy it because they're too lazy and "can't be bothered" to do it themselves. I don't quite sell my Holy Waters for 20,000 gold. I stick around 17,500... and I still can't get a single customer...
I'm not sure what server you're playing on if you're selling your Holy waters for that much. I think here in Ruairi, people sell it for 16,000 gold was it? Can't remember. Some still try to sell it around 20,000 gold. People are taking advantage of the free VIP to set up shops, been seeing Seeds(Homestead), Pots and Holy Waters shops from time to time.
Sometimes buyers tempt sellers as well. Like party ads, '[B>HW/15k a stack] mail@me]'. If the person selling the Holy Waters is impatient and is in need of money. They'll give in to that offer. The same goes with dyes I guess.
This was posted like, ages ago. I'm not saying it's pay to win entirely, but I'm saying those 'fashionogist' addicts are most likely to head down this path.
Free inventory space didn't come till after. And the free pets were limited on what to have (Of course there's the events to get a free pet and now a G18 horse for completing all of the episodes).
Plus, to become really strong, there are reforges that gets spammed crazy so they can be ridiculously strong.
But yeah, they're making it more easy for players. Including that Dressing room, that free inventory space.
On a side note I do events to make money in mabi the items in events don't usually interest me that much but they're well worth their time in gold. You can get well over a million worth of items during an event period if you spend the time and tend to get lucky a few times.
