Hackshield problem(cannot launch game)

So basically, I open my client and click 'start game' and then hackshield loads completely. Shortly after few seconds, nothing happens. Is this only me or this game being weird? and who the ♥♥♥♥ invented this stupid hackshield???

I had just attempted to install it moments ago via the Nexon launcher and was having the same problem. Now I'm installing it through Steam but I worry it's just going to do the same thing..

EDIT: Yeah, same problem. I try to start it, the hackshield comes up, but then nothing. I haven't played in ages and I wanted to give it another look but it just doesn't start at all, no error no nothing.

I have a few suggestions, but I don't know if it will really work. First thing I suggest is to browse your local files and launch the game manually ( If thats possible on the steam version) or update hackshield manually as well. If that doesn't work, I really reconmend downloading the launcher from the actual site.

I also have this issue. I assumed they fixed it with the latest patch/download, but apparently not.

I tried all of the suggestions other than downloading the launcher from the site, and none of them changed anything.

Have you tried going to the HShield folder within mabinogi/appdate in your nexon or steam folder directory and running HSUpdate.exe? It fixed problems for me in Archeage

I just fixed this problem, I dont know if it also fixes yours.
but if you run your steam with compability mod. just disable it.
I worked for me.
