-On one, I'd need to test and stare at numbers to be absolutely sure (and you could do this, too-- just record your numbers on foxes and record with and without), but by wording alone, it should work. As long as you use anything with specifically def/prot reduction (which astrology can have with the right constellation) and bleed or daze, then it should work fine.
-My guildie and I have extensively tested the red v blue question, working out formulas etc. Without a doubt, with the recent adjustments to red and blue, there is no current possible condition in the game for red to outperform blue on magic weapons. Scythes you'd need something like 2800 MA before red started outperforming, for example.
