Farming Fine Leathers?

Currently working on weaving r5 and it looks like I'll need around 100 to 150 fine leathers to rank it. I've heard that Shadow Cast City adv is good for it, but I'm only averaging about two fines for every three runs I do, even with cp gear to make all the enemies at least my own level. Anyone got a better place to farm them?

From what I recall, that really is the best place to farm for leather. It all comes down to luck of the drop.

Yeah, it ended up being so. I was able to cheese that rank through fragging the straps I got and a well placed brionac and the last two ranks were easy since Ethna gives you a whole stack of finest for jaspers, which aren't too hard to come by right now.

I can sell you my stacks. I really am unsure how much I have now. Also I have an absurd amount of strips of various types.

Sadly, I'm on ruairi, thanks though. managed to r1 weaving yesterday so it's not a huge deal anymore, now I'm just trying to find the most efficient way to r1 tailoring.

Honestly, r8 weaving is probably the hardest rank since you need to make 150 finest silks, which you have only around 5% or less chance to make. After that, weaving's pretty easy since you can usually get to the next rank using only one or two items with pretty high success rates and no random chance of getting something else involved. Getting all the fine leathers was the hardest I actually had to work after r8.
