Has there been any improvement to pets
I quit around the time of donki donki so i been gone at least a few years. but recently my mind has drifted back to my bombay and my maid. I really love mabinogi's pets and to a point the pet system and ai. It has been on eo fhte few games where there were pets.

However back then everyone said pets were basicly useless and the ai was a joke. Has this improved or ben updated or are pets still a joke to be used as invetory space.

*sigh* pets are pretty much the same, sadly. You can, however, PLAY as your pets, so that's one plus.

that really is a shame. Mabi and Shin megaten have some of the best pet machanice in mmos. I just think it always kinda sucked that there stats were never great and the AI builder was a joke

If you can get the Divine Link skill then they're pretty good, but otherwise pretty much the same.

Fairy pet level 200 + divine link can turn it into a tank.
Really helps out alot.

^.^ good to see there are other people that loved there pets. I think i was always more depressed with the AI editor. I always wanted my Commerc pet to fully charge thunder while i battled and unlesh it when charged. Everythimg i tried to make that happend she wouldn't even get the first charge before canceling it.

I wouldn't call pets like the cloud that gives heals on summon and dragon that interrupts and debuffs enemies as useless.

The basic AIs may be not up to snuff, but I found some pet AIs to use that seem useful, whether it's one for acting like a meat shield and taking hits or another that plays smart and survives by attacking them then immediately using counter/windmill afterwards for enemy retaliation.
