Mabinogi: I CAN'T COMPLETE THE DAMN CHICKEN QUEST

I started playing this game almost 2 hours ago.
For 45 minutes of that almost 2 hours, I have been trying to collect a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EGG.

I keep clicking on the chickens, and the egg collecting symbol but I got NADA. The one thing it does keep pointing to. despite my best efforts at egg collecting, is an ominous glowing light saying "Tutorial: Quest of Erinn" above it, and I'm assuming there's supposed to be a chicken there, but I can't see it or click it no matter how hard I try; and yes, I have switched channels, DOZENS of times.

i dont think it matters if the chicken is at that spot... Im assuming your hands are empty while collecting from a chicken? Barring that, log out and log back in? Or talk to the person who gave you the quest... Im not sure. Its definitely a weird thing you have going on...

Just in case it could be something simple (similar to the suggestion of making sure that your hands are empty) is that you're not trying to gather eggs from a rooster. Also, try going to another chicken in case its not able to give anymore. Otherwise, submit a ticket[support-mabinogi.nexon.net] if none of these things have worked and you're still running into problems.

Normally in this game in earlier quests it don't glow where something is meant to be. A lot of the starter quests just glow where the npc is. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but thats what I recall when i ran a lot of lower level quests on my alt. A few of them do, like when you are looking for the ring in the starter goddess quest line. But I don't ever recall this starter quest pointing to where the chickens are?

All you have to do is go to the church/bank then harass chickens that weren't over used by other players. (as they said make sure you're not holding anything or you can't collect) Then also make sure you don't get into any combat with the egg in your invo. Since if you get the egg and get knocked back you'll break the egg and have to get another one for yourself.

Just so you know all of this was said by the npc to you. So the chances of it being the games fault is very slim. This game requires you to read and figure out stuff on your own. It isn't like most mmos that have autopathing so it takes you where you have to go. You have think for yourself in this one even though they have made the game MUCH easier for newer players.

If someone already gathered from it it won't work for a while.

I dunno, it was REALLY acting up. I was constantly clicking on chickens (yes, they were chickens, not roosters), and made sure they didn't move, but got no progress. I even went back to speak to my quest giver over 8 times, still to no avail.

Hmm...perhaps it is indeed the fact many others have gathered from the hens? That's the only reasonable point I can see right now.

I'll check back with that ticket if all else fails - but, any time I log into my account, it tells me "you have been disconnected"...so I dunno what to do about that.

I've been all round the church and even tried collecting a chicken egg at the start of the game (I made a new account). I'm ready to give up to be honest.

Okay - I'm currently trying to skip the tutorial like someone accidentally did once, so I'll try that first.
If not, fml...and also joining Ruairi as a possibility.
