nexon steam connector has stopped working

so i go to launch the game and it instantly crashes with a message saying "nexon steam connector has stopped working" the only options it shows are to check online for a fix, close the window or show details which are as follows "Problem signature:

" i've tried about all i can think of doing, and nothing seems to work. i've reinstalled it multiple times,checked the files several times. cleared download cashes still nothing
if anyone has any ideas outside of what i just listed that'd be great.

don't have one through the anti virus program i have that costs money. so maybe windows firewall?

Try disabling firewall, try running steam as admin.

Yes, same here! DX I believe that Mabinogi already changed from an old OS version from Windows Vista that already threw away earlier this year of August 1st. I already submitted a ticket to Mabinogi's Nexon today because it worked just fine before its today's maintenance until after its maintenance, boom. This issue popped up! What the fawk is going on? D:

Also I looked at the system requirement and find it already changed from Windows Vista to Windows 7 or later. Meanwhile Steam haven't throw it away just yet because its give us the time to change by upgrade an old OS version of Windows Vista to Windows 7 and higher or buy a new computer with newest OS soon before its run out (stop run aka no longer support it).

Okay from talking to Taiyouko about what she heard from nexon. There is apparently a missing .txt file
Specifically steam-connector.txt

Now do the non-Vista users have this text file if so, since it is a notepad file in theory we could use the text from your text file to recreate the missing file for vista users.

Yeah, I'm glad I kept my upgrade cd's. I have the ability to update to windows 7 but I'm going to need to backup my harddrive first. I can possibly see tomorrow if that .txt shows up after my pc is windows 7, however I have the suspicion the missing file was what was allowing vista users to play.
