Just how alive is it?

So, I am a very new and recent player and, I love it, it's one of the most free and open games to hold the title of a MMO I have ever played, and I wish more games did this kind of thing, I have noticed a lack of people, I run across the ocasional traveler here and there but, the schools are empty, the towns are not as active to fitting the size they are, just how alive (or dead) is this game?

Try dunbarton/shadowmissions on ch.1, or belvast. You wont find many while traveling sadly. Schools hold no real reason to be there, same with most towns.

Pop is low, still better than rift or wildstar though, but hopefully the mobile app will help bring attention to mabi.

I purposely chose Tarlach because it is one of the least active servers as I tend to lag extremely bad around large populations. However, ch7 is always busy - especially in Dunbarton and Belvast because of the shops, and Tara and Taillteann around the shadow mission stonehenges. If you're having trouble finding people, try switching channels to a busy one and check those areas. Also, if you're interested in group-play, be sure to check out some of the active guilds.

I saw that to and the moment it's out I'm getting it....I kinda am kicking my self, I saw this game a lot before actually recalling now, but I never had the P.C to run it, and, I was kinda anti-pc at the time, now years later, but a bit too late. (dunbarton is what I mean as well, it's like a big hub and I see at most, maybe 7 others on a good day)

Busy channels are different on each server and may depend on the time of day/evening for peak hours. Best way to check is to stand in the those areas mentioned and switch channels until you find a busy one.

Mabinogi is the kind of game that a lot of people play, but they come and go (I'm one of those people, playing on Ruairi and since the open beta). A lot of people will play Mabi for a bit, then take a month or three off, then return to see what's new.

Can confirm, as a G1 S2 player people will play mabi relentless for a few days-months then go on hiatus. Hard to want to re-launch after a hundreds of hours of skill training. >,<

a lot of old mabinogi players such as myself are fed up with this suposed "Massive multiplayer." game focing solo missions for almost every event and new Generation and quest. at this point they might as well transition the game to a single player game. your hardly allowed to play with your firends in a party any more :(

you might be surprised, although your way behind everyone else, there is a WAY to play this properly . . . its pretty diffirent from what is was years ago and alot of content is out dated and/or other activities are worth doing then others due to rewards and such.... pretty much all the uldah dungeons are crap when your under 1k culmitive level cause your potentially losing like 500+ AP from exploration .... then theres all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about skipping generations and getting DK/PL form skipping to like g11 and grabbing demigod/transformations IMO we shoulda been forced to play through the story but whatever

an update a few years ago broke the combat and pushed the game into a Very high Pay to win. Game is dying.
