Nao won't give talent selection.
I start up the game for the first time and what's meant to happen is that she gives me the choice of talent before entering the tutorial, but she just throws me right into the tutorial with the close combat talent. Am I missing something? I don't have a Nexon account linked to my steam one I think. Apologies if i'm doing something wrong.

The way I understand how the tutorial works is that it is meant to show you basic combat which can be used with any talent, although some skills might not work depending on what you're holding in your hand(s).

So when do I get to choose a talent, i'm aware they're not necessary but i'm curious. If you choose a talent right off the bat from Nao then i'm very confused on what is going on, I had a friend try out Mabinogi as well to see if he got the same treatment and surely enough he did. Did they change when you get to choose talent or something?

You have three quests before you pick your talent. As of june 2016 all players will follow this system.

Thank you! There was hardly any info on it when I went and searched, I appreciate this a lot!

it's not like talent was necessary anyways. All it ever did was give you 2x training on skills.
With all the level up events, AP training, and other BS nowadays, the talent system could literally disappear, and the only people who'd be mad were the people who had treasure hunter talent alts for their treasures (Cos let's be real, nexon wouldn't remember to remove the ace talent requisite if they took out mastery.)
