I failed on making a handicraft recipe and now...

I don't have a hat or traveler's guide. What do I do now to make the recipe for my handcraft book? I can't make the hat.

the shortest solution would be to obtain the traveller guide from an alt, I would think.

are we able to trade that book since it isn't a skill book? I tried trading a skill book and it didn't work out. Sorry for all the questions. I'm new and I really like the game. :)

Yes, that book is tradable. Occassionally you can find them in player shops for super cheap, but it might be quicker to get it from an alt character like Naxos suggested.
