Best way to organize notes?

At first I used the Steam Overlay notes, then I moved onto Word and Excel (LibreOffice is a good free alternative), then I started taking screenshots, and now I'm trying to condense & organize my stuff. Excel's split window view is great for pinning important columns and rows so I don't have to scroll around so much. If a room doesn't have a proper number then I call it BXXX+ to note that it's directly related to another room.

I'm starting to re-organize my notes for the third time now. I'm making a folder for every room and keeping stuff relevant to that floor in that folder. I'll have a giant document and spreadsheet elsewhere that records what is in which folder so that I can find stuff easier. The Windows 10 File Explorer default app can take a while loading folders with excessive amounts of pictures and videos so I figure nesting the folders like this will help.

My mind is starting to drift to how to create the smallest webm file size possible for recording solutions to every level in discrete videos. This game's small pixel art lends nicely to clean nearest-neighbor upscaling. Being able to view (home made) solutions to levels individually would be much nicer than having one long video with hundreds of time stamps and a hypersensitive seek bar. (But it would also be ideal for sharing level solutions online.) Many levels have more than one solution so one long video wouldn't do this game justice anyway.

As for folder structure, I think maybe organising these by Void Lord Domain might be good? Like 1-28, 29-56, 57-84...
Other than that, you seem very well organised and I'm not sure I've got anything to suggest that could actually help, haha. My own note-taking was quite small, limited to paper and mostly focusing on brands, so I'm very impressed!

Yes! Sometimes it doesn't work! I have to push it multiple times for it to make the sound (and popup preview). My Steam Screenshot Manager doesn't show any error spaces now, but did show a bunch of holes when I looked at it after taking a bunch.

I only use it for the feature that lets me save an uncompressed copy. I then move that file elsewhere and rename it. It's a little wasteful since it also saves a jpeg version in the usual spot, but it's extremely convenient.
