Breaking the first seal

So I inscribed the tail brand at B053, dropped down and got the hint. Then I went back to the Snake lady, punched an idol 23 times, waited, saw it disappear... And seemingly nothing happened. I noticed that the rocks in that room now say "Listen", but the seal in the area after the brand at B053 still pushes me away. Do you need something else to progress?

Now that the statue's disappeared, you've got access to a new part of the screen and a new thing to "interact" with - you can interpret that verb as you will :)

I'm pretty sure that if you got far enough to find the tail brand, you'll know what to do. It's linked to the lead-up to the true ending - there are some hints about that in the Discoveries thread if you want them!
