Room with a broken head (spoilers)

I'm on my second playthrough right now. I picked up the memory, wings, and sword and then made it to B224. From there I swapped my lives with the floor to get to B223, and fell in the hole. I pushed the statue into the only open spot in the new room and was able to open a chest with 99 locusts , but I couldn't figure out anything else to do from that room.

After that I went back to B224 and tried swapping my lives with the floor again to get to B299 . I went through a bunch of rooms with no apparent purpose, and ended up in a room with seemingly no exit and a giant cracked head :

Is there anything I can do here other than jumping in a pit? Pushing into the head causes a bunch of white things to fly out, but I've done it hundreds of times and nothing has obviously changed.

If you're looking for something subtle: You've heard the sound effect that head makes when you push on it once before, when you pushed against something else. Try to 'remember' what you did then.

Solution: Hit it 6 times, wait 6 seconds. AKA what you did with the chest you got the "memory" item from, which made that same sound effect when pushed against

The game will basically tell you, but just to be clear regarding what the ultimate purpose is: After some dialogue, you'll be given an option to do a hard reset of all your progress back to square 1. So yeah, you don't really want to come here unless you're totally done with the game and wanted to start fresh for whatever reason.
