Feeling completely lost and confused.

I just got an ending, and now I'm reading about using different brands, different characters and boss fights apparently? Now I'm back at the beginning of the game, feeling completely confused as to what I'm even supposed to be doing...is there a proper guide that explains how this all works? I genuinely do not understand, I just went into this game blind...

I don't even know what the purpose of the locusts is...I just had them there and they were of no use throughout the game.

I'm guessing you died early on and accepted the fruit from the weird flying monster, right?
Locusts are 1ups. If you die before getting any or die after running out of locusts, you'll get that sequence with the flying monster offering you the fruit. If you accept it, you'll be in a "VOID" run, AKA unlimited lives run, until you reach that final ending floor/reset.

If you're looking for a vague pointer towards what to try next, try completing that main path without running out of lives/accepting the fruit.

Don't get discouraged that you have to do it all over again because your later playthrough could be much shorter.

If you want to know what the brands are

there are two types, 1. symbols that you can enter before you start the game, if you finished it once you probably get somethign called infinity brand, that give you unlimited locus so even if you die over and over you can still get to the other endings.

2. Extra puzzles that give you various things. When you go through the game you probably encountered some murals. screenshot those. When you reach a 6x6 room, you can recreate those murals, you'll get acknowledgement by the game if you recreate them correctly, then jump into any hole.

I have to mention that the b53 mural is pretty obtuse, and I wouldn't figure out how to do it without searching about the solution though.

I genuinely get the need to hide all the meta puzzle as spoiler, but I wish someone would make guide for all those meta puzzles (aka how to do stuff other than solving puzzles) because those are the one that's hard to figure out, the actual puzzles can be figured out by trial and error.

I reset my run, I died, and then refused the apple. I was given 2 brands, memory brand and infinity brand. Can I input both of them during the intro and use them, or only 1 per run? The infinity brand doesn't allow me to communicate with the beings inside the world, while the memory brand one does? I'm not sure what to pick.
