Error saying "Unauthorized Program Detected" and crashes

I have a friend that is trying to play and enjoy Vindictus with me, I have been playing since Early Access Beta and he only just started a couple of weeks ago and was able to play just fine up until this morning. He'll be able to login and go into town and everything, but after about 3mins of launching Vindictus it gives him an error message saying "Unauthorized Program Detected" and crashes. Now I have teamviewed him and checked through his computer and wasnt able to find the problem. Are there any programs that are known to interfere with vindictus and its hackshield to cause a false positive detection? Please any help would be appreciated. TY! :)

Well, I'm having your same problem, and I've tried about everything. I guess they put in a new system to detect if people aren't using the Vindictus launcher, which of course doesn't work from Steam. I normally launch from the Vindictus program from the steamapps folder, and that doesn't seem to be working anymore. Hopefully someone will figure out a way around it.

Hate that it's so rampant, but I'm glad there's more of a chance to find a resolution to this. Can't seem to get in myself.

What's happening is that the Halloween patch changed a lot of game files such as Colhen's appearance. If the way your game looks is different from what the server expects, then it assumes you're doing something intentional to mess with the game files. If you log in and Colhen doesn't have a halloween look, you need Steam to recognize there's a patch it needs to download.

Go to your game library, right-click on Vindictus and go to properties. Go to the Beta tab and opt into whatever beta is up. Give it a moment and the game should start patching. I hope this helps!

Well he was able to see the halloween theme but im not sure how he launches rthe game if he uses the shortcut on his desktop or through the library in the steam client but i will suggest he try both ways.

During the last 2 patches, I have experienced nothing but crashing/hackshield 2.0 popping up on my screen. It doesn't happen at all to my friend , yet it happens to me everytime I attempt to play the game. Anyone have any clue as to how I can resolve this issue.
