Question about some of Karok's mechanics

1. Absorb shock works with cestus also, or only with pillar?
When does it not work? It's supposed to work if I press attack while being attacked, but sometimes it works and sometimes doesn't - especially if a boss is hitting me, this doesn't seem to work.

2. Boss Clash, how to activate it? I know it only works on big bosses, not the small fry, but it never seems to work for me. I stand there spamming E or Tab and it never works.

3. Can I mess up my skills build without being able to fix it later on? If so, what skills should I invest in?

4. What the heck is up with Armour on Karok? I have boots that have one foot with the top part missing, and my chestplate is hanging off as if broken.

1. Absorb Shock and Weave are two different things. Absorn Shock is for pillar, It does work at the start of your attack against an attack incoming or hitting you if timed properly. For pillar all attacks can proc absorb shock at their start, as well as rolling. For cestus only the first normal attack, and smash attacks, along with your dodge can "weave" which is the cestus version of absorb shock. But the mechanics are different between them if you read the skill descriptions.

2. Boss clash only works on larger enemies, usually found at the end of missions. It can also be used on non raid bosses and raid bosses of different types. There will be a prompt when you can use the ability. Look for a hand symbol with e next to it that will appear on the boss for a brief moment. If you press your grab button at the precise time, you will cause a clash. You can also just hold tab whenever a boss performs a clash attack, if you do not feel like timing it. However you will lose some stamina from doing it this way, and also lose some health.

3. Yes you can mess up, but not to a large degree. You can buy reset capsules from the cash shop, and I'm almost certain you get 1 or 2 for free from your level up bag at some point. If you need advice on investing points, I would look up a guide for whichever weapon you wanna end up rolling with.

4. Your armor is either broken armor, or just plain low level junk stuff. When you replace it with something decent, you won't have that.
