VINDICTUS ENCOUNTERED AN UNRECOVERABLE ERROR
So Vindictus has always run fine. As in, it ran fine all 106 hours I played it. Then suddenly, it decides to stop working. I tried running Vindictus recently, and as soon as the game started, it didn't even get to the main menu, and it crashed. An error message popped up saying:

The program has encountered an unrecoverable error.
Press OK.

*Exception Code:
*Exception Address: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
*Exception Module: oxf7e93c3e

PLEASE HELP! I ♥♥♥♥ING LOVE THIS GAME!

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T420 with an Intel i7 2620M Quad core processor @ 2.7 GHz and Intel HD Graphics 3000 along with 4 gigs of RAM and a 32-bit operating system.

This is farily common acctualy. usualy when objects are broken too quickly, for example when a chainblade vella destroys all the boxes. to be honest not quite sure what the actual cause as that is really my only example as far as a fix if google can't help i won't be much better. sry

Does it do this every time you try to start the game? Or did you try restarting your computer then launching the game? If all that doesn't work then you could try to reinstall Vindictus.

I've already tried reinstalling, and restarting the computer doesn't help.

Hmm... It could be possible that reinstalling would not clear all settings and such if some of them are saved in the registry.

The following are just some ideas I had off the top of my head. I have no idea if these will acutally fix your problem or not.

One last thing you could try is uninstall, then use CCleaner or other programs to clean out the registry. Maybe try uninstalling Steam too. Then install Steam and Vindictus again?

Another option would be to try installing Vindictus through the Nexon launcher. It is sometimes buggy, but I found that if you don't change the Nexon Launcher install location then it will work just fine.

If both of those above options don't work, I guess if you really wanted to you could try to reinstall Windows? It is a big hassle just to try to get the game working again, but it might be an option.
