Easy method to break parts of bosses?

is there an easy method? i tried random AOE smashes (not knowing locations), but that not work anymore.

the breaks used to be really important due to the fact of needed X items for crafting weapons, armor or accessory. now. it's just an added core(item drop). as for how, using character skills or the location is something i've gotten. been a long times since i went for'em.

Usually shooting armor pieces, each piece has a hidden HP value so using something that has punching power usually works. Ranged classes have it much easier breaking stuff as well

Yeah it might be because magic doesn't count, unfortunately you have to use smash or pierce to break parts.

but all of evies magic counts as smash tho, or so map mini objectives tell me.

I think different smashes count differently, some things just work much better than others. I can get part destructions so much more easily as Kai then as Hurk.

If you manage to stun the boss, use a spear. You can stun bosses by using large debris.
