secondary password crap
haven't touched this game in a while so i don't remember my secondary password and the "change secondary password" thing is locked why is is it locked? the hell?

yes it is but i've just uninstalled the game though.
Regarding this secondary PW B.S.

Upon starting Vindictus, I'm notified to enter secondary PW. I don't remember ever making one. Followed EVERY instruction through steam links to Nexon site. Reset confirmation never shows up in my email, but every other notification does, including one for adding an authenticator, which was successfully added. Nexon site confirmed I reset my 2nd PW and instructed me to enter the confirmation code for this action from my email, which never shows up even though I receive emails for every other account event I create at Nexon.com. Here's the rub: my character select screen shows I have a level 1 toon. That's the only toon I've ever rolled in this game. Did it over a year ago and never moved past that as I was spending too much time on other games. Even went so far as to uninstall Vindictus thinking I'd come back when I'd finished playing other games. Steam currently shows I've played Vindictus for 26.9 hours. Impossible. I didn't enter the game after creating my first and only toon. I've relayed all this to support at the Nexon site to no avail. Additionally, after clicking "Exit" button in Vindictus entry screen, the game will not stop running even using Steam's "stop" button. Attempting to exit steam from Steam browser menu will not stop the game. I have to click "Exit Now" to make it stop. I'm with Heavy147 on simply uninstalling.

Any constructive advice on how to work around this crap, or even fix it? TIA and cheers!

All I can say about the secondary password is to follow the instructions I gave a couple posts back. If you have already and it doesn't work, I wouldn't even bother creating a ticket, ♥♥♥♥ it, create a new account if all you have is a level 1 toon with a different email through the nexon launcher instead of through steam.

As for the game not closing; that's been happening lately with me as well. I even recently (3 days ago) was forced to wipe my C drive and reinstall windows, and vindictus still sits there, eating ram, but 'closed'. You don't have to exit steam; close vindictus normally, then just open task manager, select vindictus.exe from the process list, and end process. For whatever reason the game started doing this maybe, 2 months ago, I think, but it's a minor inconvenience really.

Btw those 27 hours was probably the game sitting idle after you 'closed' it. If the process is still running, steam is still logging hours.

same problem here. went to reset my SP on the website and guess what? "ou do not have a game character or password has not been set up on this account"

but i do 4 of em infact and one of em was lvl50?

i just wanted to throw pilars and pummel vampire sceletons but i got this instead

i opened Bing browser and tried to reset my SP and it worked. i got the email too. only problem now is there is maintenance going so i cant confirm it 100%

yup it worked alrigth. but aparently i have deleted my karok and i had replased him whit hurk

but yea i used a difrent browser and had no further issues resetting the SP
