I think it what you said about chi attacks, the speed up looked quite similar.

I've yet to completle all stages on hard (+ the final boss)
Sometimes I just don't understand how to get better, but I seem to anyway when I play.
This game is so hardcore, very little room for error. Sometimes feels like a puzzle to find the best tactic for the specific fights, beyond just raw skill and practice.
If you really wanted to, I'm sure you could cheat engine hack the money. The items I have no idea.
Finding the values might take a while though.
