I am playing this on my iPhone 5 and am going to get this for my PC too, just because lol. Please bring the addon packs to the PC i'm sure that all the people that already have the main game will buy them, I know I will :)

It's not looking promising to be honest. The devs just don't appear interested in supporting the PC version, or adding anything more to it. All we get is copy and paste responses about sales figures, which they have been saying for months now.

Sales figures... Sigh. Yeah, I'm sure NOT selling the expansions will help their numbers a bunch.

Hello fellow pilots,

We'd like to offer you the expansions "Valkyrie" and "Supernova" as well, but currently we don't have anymore ressources to port them over to the Windows platform. Therefore, we are lokking for an external possibility at the moment and we'll keep you posted as soon as we have any further information regarding that topic.

Best regards,

Sebastian

Exactly what I was expecting. The PC version was a quick cash grab, and with that done there's no reason to develop it any further. Congrats, I now know to avoid any further releases from your company!

come on guys we are waiting since so long now ... we want the expansions !!!!!!!!!!! :)

Hah the game is WORTHLESS without the Valkyire expension, I really can't understand what is the big deal on adding it to PC, atleast give us Shima, there is no way to progress our player without it, it's like empty game, collecting ships or playing with a ship for long time and then just "sell it" instead of using it in your private hangar to showoff, seriouslly it's about 50% of the game, obviouslly you won't sell much if you pass such a big amount of the game.

drop the dlc on steam £7 each or £10 for both and i would happily buy them! would even recommend the game to friends but as it is it feels like the base game is missing so much with no guaranteed dlc coming out its hard to do so.

spent over 25 hours playing this on my iphone and im still not finished, pc version is done in 5 hours and then you have nothing to do, no ship upgrades/collections no auto turrets :(

Oh yeh right, @Zenith, a quick cash grab. Lemme tell you, if it was that quick I think they would have already ported over the two expansions by now. The fact is that they are working on a quick cash grab and that's the GOF Alliances, online MMO. Maybe after they finish with it and get it going full speed ahead, they might come up with the two DLCs for PCs. What do you think, @Blade?

I R Turribel, just Turribel. Not Terrible! There is a difference. (and no I won't tell you what it is.)

So true, but it still sums up my feelings. Besides, since I just bought the game, it's new to me.

Found this quoted on the fishlabs forums from last March...

Hi everybody,

In the last weeks there was a lot talk about the expansions for the PC version of Galaxy on Fire 2. We considered many options and – as we stated previously – would have loved to bring the expansions to the PC, but despite our best hopes, we won’t be able to do this.

While this sinks in I’d like to let you know why we had to make this decision. We are a small company and have to be careful which projects we undertake and make smart investments, not only based on what we would like to do, but what is healthy for our business. Investing more time and energy into Galaxy on Fire 2 Full HD for Windows would not be lucrative and might even negatively affect other projects. We sat down and considered whether we would have had more sales if the expansions would have been available upfront, but our understanding is that we reached nearly everybody who wanted to participate in a space adventure.

At the end of the day, we want to make great games, we love creating games and we’re really happy that our community supports themselves and us the way you do. And all this makes it really hard to share with you the news that we won’t release the add-ons for PC.

All the best,

The Fishlabs Team

Does appear from reading the forums that the Mac version of the game got the 2 expansion packs though ....for OSX Lion.... sucks I would have bought this for the pc had they released the expansions.

Yeah so it boils down to "We got our quick cash grab and don't care about the PC platform, back to the mobile market"

Dev's like that have no right to even be on Steam, the mainstay PC platform.

was looking to buy this but not now there greed has cost them a sale

Just get the game on the iPad or iPhone and play it there with the expansions. That's the format it was designed for and that has the most precise controls. I played it before the expansions were released and enjoyed the heck out of it. With the expansions, it's even better.

Iphone screen is way too small... And the battery lasts only a few hours while playing. This game is a proper space sim, requires hundreds of hours and a big screen.
