I'm so sorry you're having trouble. Can you tell me about the mac it's not working on? Version of hardware or software?

I'm still on Catalina and need to update which might be the issue. However, it was working fine before.

Ah. Yeah. Catalina is too old. I did not realize that the underlying engine I use for the game (Unity), changed their requirement to the next version of macOS (Big Sur). So when I updated the game last time, that new requirement snuck in without my awareness. My apologies. Is upgrading to Big Sur just not an option for you?

I just started it up for the first time since last December... talk about laggy, slow, and I can't even click on the buttons. I have to click 3 times before it is registered...

I'm running Ventura, i7 4 ghz, 32 gb of ram, radeon 4gb, ssd.... The game ran fine last year... Please optimize it already, because what has changed from last december until now is pathetic.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Are you able to run other modern games on your Mac successfully?

My low spec mac testing device is a 2020 M1 mac mini with 8gb of ram. On that computer, Kind Words 2 runs at a steady 60fps in HD resolution and between 40 and 60 fps in 4k resolution.

If you missed it, I said the last time I ran it was last december, and it was fine. What ever has changed since then to now, is obviously on your end, as my Mac, hasn't changed.

Edit: Also, if your "minimum" testing device for Mac, doesn't even coincide with the "minimum" system requirements for Mac that is listed on the store page, which I'll post here to refresh your memory:

MINIMUM:
OS: macOS Big Sur 11 and later
Processor: Both
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Metal capable Intel and AMD GPUs
Storage: 2 GB available space

then you are basically screwing over everyone that is relying on this minimum spec to know whether they should buy the game, or have previously bought it under this requirement. Both myself, and the original poster, have purchased this game under this criteria... so for you to RUG us, and release updates that work on an M1 level Mac, is pretty underhand if you don't test on the "minimum" requirements...
