Low sound quality

Any ideas why my sound quality appears to be worse after I installed the T2fix? Interestingly, the Child of Karras' sound enhancement pack seems to work just fine, but combined with the T2fix, the sound quality is bad again.

Mods can overwrite eachother and one has higher prioryty than other.

Yeah I tried that too and still the sounds have poor quality, at least compared to what I whatch on YouTube.

UPDATE: I discovered that when I enable EAX, i can hear this fancy echo effect but the sound quality goes down, however if I disable EAX, the quality is good again but no echo effect. Any ideas?

Are you sure its audio quality not the loudness? When I enable EAX, dialogue and other sounds are quieter than the ambience.

To answer your question, audio probably sounds worse with EAX enabled - because you're emulating it through the built in OPENAL. OPENAL that is provided with the game emulates some of the EAX effects library, however not the full thing. Audio and reverb doesn't propagate correctly with Vanilla OPENAL/EAX. My guide will give you the closest thing you can get to original audio with surround sound support. (the channels should come through much cleaner as well.)
