Windows 11?

First off...I know virtually nothing about computers.

I recently upgraded from a Windows 8 HP laptop to HP PC Windows 11 machine.

Both Thief 1 and Thief 2 worked with no issues (except for mission videos) on my old machine. My new machine launches the game and I can view videos, but the game just exits itself out when I launch a mission.

Any advice? I began playing this game way back when it first came out as a kid and the nostalgia would suck to lose.
