Is the Multiplayer mod playable?

Just wondering if the Multiplayer mod is playable as I wouldn't mind doing a full playthrough with a buddy. Mods like this always seem too good to be true.

it does work, but you need two computers that can run the game via the original (1.18) executable - might be a bit hard today. head over to TTLG[www.ttlg.com] if you want to try.

The sad thing is that there's no global server to make it easier to link with others. You can play in a local network. To play online, the host will have to do some port forwarding in order to link up with others.
