Incursion Red River

Incursion Red River

Please bring back dx11 support
My raptor lake CPU is not playing nice with dx12 and any UE5 game that's not yet completely optimised. I'm getting complete system lock-ups mid raid every raid and can't play. Running on an 13th gen i5-1400f, RTX 4060 6gb an 16gbs of RAM.

Some advanced UE5 features require DX-12. I don't see any modern game going backwards to enhance support for old or weak hardware.

Yeah, unless this is a tech demo and not a high risk extraction shooter, that'd make more sense. Folks need more stability to play such a game and I don't think i need to explain why. Supporting older hardware isn't going backwards, its locking off a ton of people who don't have the high-end hardware (where the UE5 isn't going to run great regardless).

It is going backwards, I constantly see posts talking about performance, runs just fine for me and my group, you are using 1400f lmfao

i5-13600K
RTX 3080
No problems, try lowering your graphics maybe? I play maxed out just fine but I have a feeling its something you are doing

DX11 last version was 2013. You are not missing high end hardware, you're trying to use 2010-ish hardware in 2025. It's like trying to suggest you should be able to play Cyberpunk 2077 with a 90s rig.

No there is not a "ton" of people "who don't have high end hardware and want to play IRR". The game has clearly stated Win 10 and DX12 as MINIMUM REQUIREMENT on the store page. If you don't have that you're not even supposed to be here.

If you constantly see posts about performance, then there's probably numerous optimisation issues? Those folks used to have the ability to launch in dx11 until a few months ago, now they don't have that option. The game literally launched with dx11 support.

There are other games with DX12 as minimum requirement that are incredibly stable that run fine, like Tarkov which this is a derivative of. You're right though, going off of steamcharts, I guess I'm not supposed to be here playing "not Tarkov" with the other 50 people who have the hardware to play this game. Enjoy

Tarkov is unity engine, this is UE5. Their reasons for listing as DX12 minimum are different.
Also Russians are known to have worse hardwares in average (the reason why World of Tanks had Standard and HD clients), so it makes sense for Tarkov to put more effort on low-end compatibility.
This game on the other hand is made in Germany.
